My first impression of Japan came from books, TV, information on newspapers, …and from immortal comic books of all time as Doraemon, Dragon Ball, Tsubasa ... At that time, I thought Japan was an island with scarce resources, earthquakes happened frequently,... but people living hereare disciplined, hard-working, intelligent enough to make the "Japanese Miracle" which was famous all around the world. At the moment, Japan isone of the leading countries in the world ... So, throughKizuna program, this is an opportunity for me toexperience whetherwhat I ever knewwas true or not?

Like many other students in group, I thought this wasa precious trip(because everything in Japan is so expensive, even the people who are rich may not have chances to participate insuch a national project) ... I myself was so excited and I imagined that many wonderful things were waiting for me… However, after carefully readingthe schedule and purpose of this project, the places we’d come is where were damaged bythe disaster 113… Through the experiences in 10days, we were aware of the importance ofthis project. This trip was not for relaxing, not normal trips itself...all participants in this project also have a responsibility, a mission...

However, things did not stop there. Afterthe horrific events, the thing made Japanese difficult in reconstruction time as well asin retrieval images of Japan is the false rumors, hearsay or unfounded knowledge of the majority ofthe international community afterthe 113 disaster.
From Internet
Generally, from the information gathered from the newspapers, radios, Internet, family, relatives, friends ... Japan now has become an unsafe country, leaking radioactive, contaminated water, air, earth ... and above all cyclical, probably within the next 5-10 years, asimilar or even larger disaster may happen ... For this reason, so many people when talking about Japan, they imagine that horrible things are happening in Japan and never think of coming there... Moreover, they are sharing this thought to many others…

Participants in Kizuna project directly came to the damaged areas to find out detailed information about the precise damage figures, the safety level and the reconstruction efforts in Japan, to hear the narration of the victims who survived from the disaster 113, to study the methods to prevent natural disasters (we had experienced fire fighting drill, keep safety in earthquakes, learn how to escape from various terrain...) from which, all of us became attestor to convey the real experience, to help erase the rumors. Strengthening the link with the world through the shared experience of natural disasters and reconstruction work as well.

And this is the experiencethat we have learned from the Saito Confectionery Corporation:
Things enlightenmentafter disaster:
*The true value of cultural development
*The meaning ofgreat worldly impermanence
*Disaster doesn’t choose area to happen
*Disaster doesn’t choose area to happen

Then we did a practice run for the assuming tsunami alert on the surrounding terrain. We wonder how many percentages we would have to survive if the tsunami really comes. And after the signal, we ran up the hill, running and shouting: "Tsunami, tsunami, run, everyone, run!"
Too tired….It took us 5minutes to breatheand then we together walked down...
After that, we visit one of the monuments inthis region, whichis the clock tower

Through these activities, I myself must confirm the safety of Japan after the disaster. As mentioned above, the biggest concern of anyone known the 113 disaster was the degree of radiation leak, whether it affected water, air, food ... or not? We carefully studied the material collected, and we confirmed that:
_As for the amount of radiation in food and water: Whole foods sold were checked radiation levels, confirmation safe. Water absolutely no problem, could use properly.
_Regarding the amount of radioactivity in the air: After the incident, the Japanese government and the local government had been continuously measuring the radioactivity in the areas and the amount of radioactivity released in the air. According to the latest figures, the amount of radioactivity in the air in Japan is not high, if compared with the case of Beijing Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, and New York ... and the main urban Asia and Oceania, North America was really lower. With the index in Miyagi, Iwate as disaster areas, compared to urban areas in other countries, the index was also lower.
